Elizabeth Michaelis is the founder of Guardian Counsel Law Office, assisting individuals, families, and businesses with Estate Planning, Elder Law, Business, and Nonprofit law. Before forming Guardian Counsel, Ms. Michaelis led a consulting practice specializing in strategic planning for Fortune 500 companies in the health care and pharmaceutical sectors.
Ms. Michaelis earned her J.D. from the University of St. Thomas School of Law, and an M.B.A. from the University of Minnesota. Ms. Michaelis is a member of the Probate & Trust and Elder Law Sections of Minnesota State Bar, as well as the Arizona State Bar and the National Association of Elder Law Attorneys.
Ms. Michaelis donates her time in Minnesota and globally. In 2006, she worked in Uganda with International Justice Mission, serving widows who have lost their land following their husband's death. In 2007, she travelled to Goma, in the Democratic Republic of Congo, where she assisted in the development of a hospital-based medical training facility for HEAL Africa.
Ms. Michaelis partners with Senior Community Services, a non-profit dedicated to enhancing the quality of life of older adults & their caregivers.
